Excellent Crop Yields at Kambona/Msema

Our partner organisation, Searchlight Orphan Care, has reported excellent harvest yields from their croplands at Kambona and Msema.

• * 554 bags of maize (50kg per bag) worth over $US 11,000
• * 130 bags of sunflower...worth over $US 3,000
• *  34 bags of millet...worth over $US 1,000

About $US 5,000 has been set aside for the upcoming planting season to cover seeds, chemicals and fertilisers.

The good harvests have meant storage capacity has had to be increased with the construction of new buildings.
